Terms of Use

1. Adults only

This site is intended for people aged 18 or over. The home page asks you to confirm it because the building contains a gaming floor and Finnish law sets the age at 18. Confirming is not proof of age, and identification is checked at the door by a person on every visit.

2. No gaming is offered on this website

Nothing on aurelinna.com is a game, a wager or a stake. The site offers no play and no accounts, and it accepts no deposits, withdrawals or payments of any kind. Gaming happens only in person, in the first-floor gallery of the building at Vaakaranta 7, during its opening hours; these pages only describe that room. Any site, app or message that offers play in our name is not connected to us, and we would be glad to hear about it.

3. Accuracy, and no offer

We try to keep these pages accurate, though a building makes that harder than it sounds: hours change, rooms are taken out of service, the kitchen runs out, the terrace closes in bad weather and the gallery shuts for a fortnight in January. Nothing written here is a contractual promise, an offer capable of acceptance or a guarantee of availability. If something matters to your plans, confirm it with reception before you travel.

4. Intellectual property

The text, layout, stylesheet, code and the hand-drawn mark on this site belong to Aurelinna and are protected by Finnish and EU copyright law. You may read the pages, print them and link to them. You may not copy the text onto another site, present it as yours, or scrape it in bulk to train or populate anything.

The site carries no photographs. Every drawing on these pages is a vector made for Aurelinna and is owned in the same way as the text. The drawings are illustrations and should not be read as a record of the building.

The self-hosted typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License and remain the property of their designers.

5. Links out

This site links to no other website. Every link in these pages points to another page of aurelinna.com, to a telephone number or to our own email address. If that ever changes, we will not control what is at the other end and will not be responsible for it.

6. Conduct on the property

Inside the building the house rules apply instead of this page. In short: the duty manager may refuse entry or ask anyone to leave; identification is required at the gallery door; the dress code there is applied as written; smoking is only in the far corner of the courtyard; the sauna and the river steps are used at your own risk and on the staff's instruction. Nothing on this website entitles anyone to enter the premises.

7. Availability of the site

These are static files on a rented server. We make no promise that they will be reachable at any particular moment, and we may change, move or withdraw any page without notice. Scheduled work is not announced in advance.

8. Liability

The site is provided as it is. To the extent Finnish law allows, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of these pages, including loss caused by relying on information that has gone out of date. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are untouched.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Finland. Disputes go to the Finnish courts, and the District Court of Southwest Finland in Turku is the court of first instance. A consumer may instead bring a claim in the courts of their own country of residence where EU law gives that right.
